The working truck that stars in the recently released Transformers movie made an impact this past weekend at BotCon in Providence, RI. The truck with its shiny paintjob and subtle flames evoked many a “giddy” grin within those who were seeing it for the first time. And after having just seen the movie I must confess that seeing the truck from the movie in person just might have inspired a slight outburst and some nervous fingers from my grown figure. However, what you are about to see in the following video made by a fan of her first encounter with Optimus Prime steps grossly over the line of Car Show Etiquette.
She breaks the cardinal rule, which is: You do NOT TOUCH Another Persons Vehicle! EVER!
Checkout another video of the Optimus Prime truck at BotCon, but this time with the 80’s cartoons theme music in the background. Should help get you in the right mindset for the movie.
As for a discussion of the movie itself, I am not one to spoil a movie for those who have yet to see it. I will say that Micheal Bay (thanks in a large part to Steven Spielberg I imagine) has just earned my gratitude for bringing this 80’s cartoon icon to the silver screen. Watch it and Enjoy!
